GDPR Compliance Danish Data Law Atelier Transparency

Privacy at the Atelier Scale.

At Kubo Education ApS, we treat your personal information like a high-grade material specimen: documented, secured, and handled with technical precision. This policy explains how we curate your data to provide our design curriculum in Rungsted Kyst.

Section 01 / Identity

The Data Controller.

We are not a monolithic data-harvesting machine. We are a design training center. Kubo Education ApS (CVR: 45068277) is the entity responsible for deciding why and how your data is processed. Whether you are enrolling in a UI/UX Masterclass or visiting our studio at Ved Hegnet 17, we maintain direct oversight of every byte collected.

Administrative Baseline

  • Direct accountability under Danish Data Protection Act (Databeskyttelsesloven).
  • Strict limitation of processing to educational and operational needs.
  • Manual review of all third-party integration points for material honesty.

Note: We do not employ automated decision-making that significantly affects your enrollment status. Human critique is our core methodology; human decision-making is our legal standard.

Section 02 / Taxonomy

The Information We Collect.

We categorize data like a type specimen sheet. If we don't need the glyph, we don't print the page. Here is the inventory of what we handle.

Identification Data
Your name, email address, phone number, and professional background. We use this to establish who is sitting at our drafting tables.
Collected via: Enrollment forms, Inquiry emails, Studio visitor logs.
Academic Progress
Project submissions, critique feedback, and workshop attendance. This is the heart of your portfolio development at Kubo Education.
Collected via: Studio critique sessions, Learning Management System (LMS).
Financial Artifacts
Billing addresses and payment confirmation. We do not store full credit card numbers in our studio; that is handled by our PCI-compliant processing partners.
Collected via: Invoicing and enrollment checkout.
Technical Telemetry
IP addresses, browser types, and navigation paths. It sounds sterile, but it helps us ensure the atelier's digital doors open smoothly on every device.
Collected via: Server logs and standard analytics.

Section 03 / Logic

Purpose & Legal Basis.

The Contractual Mandate

When you enroll in our Digital Strategy or UI/UX Masterclass, we process your data to fulfill our agreement. We cannot teach you if we do not know who you are or how to send you your certification. This is the primary legal basis for most of our interactions.

Legitimate Interests

We have a legitimate interest in improving our curriculum and protecting our studio from fraud. This includes analyzing which course modules are most effective and ensuring our network security remains intact. We weigh these interests against your privacy rights with every update to our infrastructure.

Explicit Consent

For anything purely promotional—like news from our student showcase or upcoming workshop announcements—we ask for your explicit consent. You can withdraw this at any time, and we promise not to take it personally or diminish your critique scores.

Section 04 / Fortification

Atelier-Grade Security.

Your data is stored within an infrastructure designed for resilience. We employ encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication for all studio staff, and physical access controls at our Rungsted Kyst facility.

Encrypted Shell

Military-grade protection for personal archives.

Active Defense

Real-time monitoring of studio access logs.

Section 05 / Authority

Your Data Autonomy.

05.01

Access & Portability

You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide it in a structured, machine-readable format—much like a well-organized CSS file.

05.02

Rectification

If your data contains typos or outdated artifacts, you have the right to demand an immediate update. Precision is the cornerstone of our studio.

05.03

The Right to Erasure

Known as "The Right to be Forgotten." If we no longer have a legal reason to keep your data, we will purge it from our servers upon request.

05.04

Restriction of Processing

You can ask us to pause our processing of your data while we resolve a dispute regarding its accuracy or our legitimate interests.

05.05

Objection

You can object to our processing based on legitimate interests. We will then prove our case or stop the processing entirely.

05.06

Complaints

If you believe we have failed in our duty, you can contact the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). We prefer you talk to us first, though.

Section 06 / Transmission

Data Retention & External Logistics.

Data has a shelf life. We store student records for the duration of your enrollment plus five years for portfolio verification purposes. After that, we archive only what is strictly necessary for tax and legal compliance.

Reader Caution

We do not sell your data to creative marketplaces or recruiter lists. We share it only with service providers who help us run the atelier (e.g., cloud hosting, payment gateways).

Cloud Infrastructure

EU-based servers for standard course delivery.

GDPR Compliant

Payment Processing

PCI-DSS Level 1 encryption for all tuition fees.

Secure Gateway

Learning Analytics

Anonymized tracking for curriculum improvement.

Pseudo-Anonymized
